Securing Our Foundation: The Bothell Site Transfer

A quiet but significant milestone in our project's history: the one-acre site in Bothell — originally purchased personally by our founding couple — has now been formally transferred to IDDeal Living.
Our founders started IDDeal Living out of their own experience as parents of a child with an intellectual and developmental disability, and their decision years ago to secure this property was an early act of faith in what this project could become. Placing the land directly in the organization's hands, rather than holding it personally, ensures the site is permanently dedicated to this mission and gives IDDeal Living the clear, organizational site control needed to move the project through development.
This is more than a legal step. It's a signal of our founders' long-term commitment to this community, and it puts IDDeal Living in a stronger position as we advance our partnership with The Kelsey and work toward selecting a local co-developer.
We're grateful for our founders' generosity and vision, and for everyone who has supported this project along the way.
